Listed below are Canadian groups or individuals that create and/or sell subtitled or
dubbed anime that has not yet been commercially released in North America. The people who
create and sell fansubs are fans who do so because they want to share anime that can't be
found here yet. They typically take a copy of anime from Japan, translate it, add
subtitles, and then sell it, usually at little or no profit. Once one of the big companies
releases an anime in North America, fansubbers generally stop distributing the title.

Hardcore Anime
WWW: http://www.geocities.com/hardcore_anime/
Based In: Montreal, PQ
Payment Accepted: Money orders, cash (not recommended)
Description: This is a good distro site for several reasons: it has
the lowest prices I've seen yet; there's a large selection of titles; and the
tape quality is pretty much as rated, although the quality isn't necessarily
all that great. The turnaround time is about 3 weeks after receiving the
payment. There's a minimum order of three tapes, but no maximum. Again, the
prices are very reasonable: 3 for $23, 4 for $30, 5 for $37, 6 for $44, 7 for
$51, 8 for $58, etc., adding $7 for each additional tape (all amounts listed
in Canadian dollars). (MT - January 20, 2002)
